Cantamus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of inspirational or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.

Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. The group sings a wide range of music from Classical to Musical Theatre in multiple languages. All rehearsals are conducted in English. Caprice ladies choir are looking forward to presenting their two performances of ‘Songs for a Spring Evening’ later this month in support of local charities. Please note that the first concert at La Fustera church is now on Sunday 22nd March at 5pm (not 21st). The second concert is at Centro Social, Jalon on Wednesday 25th March at 7pm. Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: We are proud to present the opening of our ticket box office for our renowned Cave Concerts on June 12 & 13. Jávea Players: Sparks fly when cantankerous Abbey is forced to share her quarters with newly-arrived Marilyn in a Senior Living Facility. A seemingly harmless bet escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship. The production blends sharp wit with a touch of mischief. The Phoenix Dancers are a vibrant local group who believe dance should be about joy, confidence, and community. Alongside the fun, the Phoenix Dancers also use their performances to raise funds for local charities, giving back to causes that matter close to home and making a positive difference. The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. ACTS have finalised the venue and dates for their next drama production ‘Drinking Habits‘ by Tom Smith at Benijofar Cultural Centre, I4th to 16th May (ticket outlets TBA). The action takes place in a convent. Very pious nuns secretly producing wine to support their finances. Mother superior has no idea. Undercover reporters investigating the award winning wine get into mad situations. Mistaken identity, surprises from the past and a touch of romance add to the hilarious mix. Andante International Choir is the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. The Costa Blanca Singers are enjoying new fabulous songs at their weekly rehearsals and this year’s spring set has everyone enjoying the fun and laughter that is mandatory within the group. As is the norm, requests have already been received to sing at local events. As a well-established singing group in its fourth year, a new exciting opportunity now arises for an addition to the team. The position of Musical Director will be available later this year. Could this be you? Do you already possess these skills or would you like the opportunity to learn them? Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Monday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres, from the 60s to modern day. We give lots of performances throughout the year and raise lots of money for local charities along the way. Rojales Pantomime Group: The group assembled for a fabulous Glitterball evening of awards at Silverstones, Montebello. There was great excitement as the new title was announced – Peter Pan and The Lost Boys! This script has a unique twist on this timeless tale. In the meantime, the Director, Julia Parker, and scriptwriter, Alison Clough, presented donations of €1000 each to two worthy charities who do so much good work on the Costa Blanca South, namely The Pink Ladies/Panthers Cancer Association and Help at Home Support group. A read through is planned for early March and we always need folks for the ensemble so if you fancy having fun as a pirate or a People of The Plains or even a Lost Boy, please do get in touch at rojalespantomime123@gmail.com.

The Stagestruck Players are a Murder Mystery Group who perform comedy scripts in local bars in and around Ciudad Quesada. The scripts are all original and written by the group’s director, Leigh Humphries. They are changed each month to accommodate our regular followers and we perform twice monthly. All proceeds raised from the events are donated to our chosen charity, the Torrevieja Alzheimer´s Association. The whole team at Studio32 are excited as their next show, 9to5 draws closer. Tickets are selling fast and a sell-out is looking very likely. Remaining tickets may be purchased from the outlets listed online, or bought directly online at www.studiothirtytwo.org. The Studio32 Facebook page has many more details and is updated several times weekly. Last May, for the performances of Sister Act, many people missed the opportunity to buy tickets as the show sold so fast. Don’t chance that happening to you for The Musical 9to5. If you have only recently found Studio32, take a look at the reviews given following their last show. They are very impressive and absolute testimony to this wonderful group of entertainers.
