Cantamus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of inspirational or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.
Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. The group sings a wide range of music from Classical to Musical Theatre in multiple languages. All rehearsals are conducted in English. Caprice: After two successful concerts in March, supporting local charities, Caprice ladies choir are already working on the music for their next concerts which will be celebrating their 10th anniversary. Careline Theatre: We are busy scouring scripts to find a couple of one acts to perform in May. At Careline we love a good comedy, so watch out for what we will be up to here and on our Facebook page. Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: The box office for our renowned Cave Concerts on June 12 & 13 has opened. Due to popular demand we advise you to reserve early. We have chosen to dedicate this year’s proceeds mainly to Project4all, a charity organisation dedicated to providing daily meals and shelter for homeless people in the Costa Blanca region. Jávea Players: Ripcord, by acclaimed playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, sets two ladies in an Old Folks’ Home against each other. The newcomer’s exuberance annoys grumpy Abbey who objects to sharing her room, which leads to bets and dares. A mischievous comedy packed with wit, warmth, and wonderfully outrageous moments. Phoenix Dancers: If you love dancing then Join us! The Phoenix Dancers are a vibrant local group who believe dance should be about joy, confidence, and community. Alongside the fun, the Phoenix Dancers also use their performances to raise funds for local charities, giving back to causes that matter close to home and making a positive difference through dance. Rehearsals are already well underway for the next big charity event to be held in June! Its never too late to join the fun as new members are always welcome. The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. Andante International Choir is the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. The Costa Blanca Singers are delighted to roll out their new ‘Spring Set’ to you with their next performance on Easter Monday at Charlie’s Bar in Consum Square La Marina urbanizacion. As a well-established singing group in its fourth year, a new exciting opportunity now arises for an addition to the team. The position of Musical Director will be available later this year. Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres, from the 60s to modern day. We give lots of performances throughout the year and raise lots of money for local charities along the way. Rojales Pantomime Group: Peter Pan & The Lost Boys script was wholeheartedly embraced by the group and a requested a pre-read through took place on 11th March. An official read through will be held on 15th April and the auditions, on 18th April. The group have also made two more donations; namely the San Fulgencio Union Musica school and also to the Rojales Social Services – both very worthy causes. Preparations are in motion, all we need now is our cast. The Stagestruck Players commenced the Month of March with a very successful afternoon performance at Happy Days Too in Benimar. Sara Davies organised the event made up of fun games and a raffle that concluded with the Murder Mystery. Sara handed a grand total of €702.37 to Leigh, the Stagestruck Players director and Writer who will ensure that every penny goes to their chosen Charity, the Torrevieja Alzheimer’s Association. A fantastic time was had by all and Happy Days Too are already planning for their next fundraising Murder Mystery at Christmas.
