Adopt a Dog Day is a heartwarming family fun day
Mark your calendar for Sunday, 5th April, as the much-loved Adopt a Dog Day returns to Moraira Dog Park from 11am to 3pm, promising a wonderful day for animal lovers, families, and the local community.
This special annual event brings together dedicated local animal charities, all working tirelessly to find loving forever homes for dogs in need. Visitors will have the chance to meet a variety of rescue dogs, learn their stories, and perhaps even meet their perfect new companion.
Adopt a Dog Day is not only about adoption. It is a vibrant family day out with something for everyone. Highlights include a lively Dog Parade, where rescue dogs proudly take centre stage, and a fun Dog Show where visitors can enter their own pets into light-hearted categories for a chance to win prizes. There will also be a range of food and drink, plenty of local stalls, and an exciting Easter Egg Hunt to keep younger visitors entertained. Mick Dennison will be playing music throughout the event, Pam’s People will be doing a dance demo along with a Local Line Dancing group, great to watch or you could join in!
Even those who are not looking to adopt can support the important work of local charities by attending, donating, and helping spread awareness. Every visit makes a difference.
Local animal charities are warmly invited to take part in the day (no cost). Stall holders are also welcome, particularly those offering animal-related products or services such as pet supplies, toys, artwork, or treats. Stall spaces are available for 15€, with all proceeds being shared between the participating charities.
