ACTS – Actors Community Theatre is actively recruiting new members & volunteers. We are a small, amateur drama group, based in Benijofar, but we have big dreams! If you are interested in amateur theatre or have some experience on stage or back stage, we need you. We need actors, background helpers, front of house greeters, publicity and marketing people too. Whatever your skill and experience or lack thereof, ACTS wants you! We really need tech people and an experienced director too. Currently we are reading plays to select our next production. As we enjoy our glorious summer, The Costa Blanca Singers are taking a little down time until we restart our regular fun Wednesday afternoons on 2nd September. We are planning so much for our next season. We have welcomed Adrian as our new Musical Director and he has already demonstrated so much fun to start us in our new direction. Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Monday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Let’s Rock Choir: The choir is now back in rehearsals for our big end of summer concert tour coming up at the end of September, when we will be performing our disco spectacular! Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres. Rojales Pantomime Group: Despite the intense summer heat, the props and scenery building continues. No blood but certainly sweat and tears are included in making superb pieces by the team, headed by Alison Clough and Steve Greene. The tickets are now in hand for Peter Pan and The Lost Boys early bird buyers – our show dates and times are 3rd and 4th December 6:30pm, 5th December 2pm and 6pm at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre, San Fulgencio. The Stagestruck Players are a small, established group who perform Murder Mysteries in local bars to raise money for their chosen charity, the Torrevieja Alzheimer’s Association. We are currently taking our Summer break but performances will recommence in September. Our performances are Comedy murder mystery events and not to be taken too seriously. Studio32: Exciting news to share with you all. Rehearsals have now been in full swing for six weeks as we prepare for our next fabulous production ‘Now That’s What We Call Musicals’. We are delighted to add new and very talented members to our long-established cast. Full details can be found on our Facebook page. Show dates are 29th, 30th & 31st October. As always, seats are in high demand so we urge you to obtain yours ASAP. There will be more updates here in September.
