The Calpe Benissa Lions were delighted to receive a visit, in May, from their District Governor, José Villalobos and his wife Juli, from Mallorca.
José was very impressed with our work at our charity shop at Calle Pintor Sorolla 15, Calpe, and how it is so well known in our community. We had an informal meeting at the Antica Roma restaurant when we welcomed our two new members, Sue and Stuart. Our Governor José handed them their pins. José has also given the Club a momento of the year of his Governorship.
We then donated 720€ to the coordinator of the Protección Civil, Calpe, Juan Carlos Rubio, for the purchase of a special foam extinguisher for their fire fighting equipment. Juan Carlos presented our Lions Club with a plaque in thanks of our continuing collaboration.
