Daadi Clothes Swaps offer FREE weekly children’s clothing swaps in Jalon and Moraira.
Costa Blanca community initiative, ‘Daadi’, believe kids grow too quickly so every Wednesday in Jalon and Saturday in Moraira parents can encourage their kids to bring in their clothes that they have outgrown and let them swap for free. So far everyone has had a great time swapping and it is saving families a huge amount of money.
Daadi Founder Lauren Staton says, ‘Parents are becoming more mindful regarding where clothes are made so running free swaps give us the perfect opportunity to show them some up-cycled clothes and kinder fibres. They are tired of dressing their kids in plastic and want their kids to understand how and where their clothes are made. We are witnessing a big change’.
One thing which is fantastic at Daadi Clothes Swaps is to see kids choosing what they want to wear without parents having the worry of what is on the price tag. Grandparents are also joining in by choosing pieces in preparation for kids visiting from UK. Another saving by reducing on luggage costs.
As word is spreading, donations of children clothes keep coming in, some really nice clothes and good quality. Daadi are grateful to parents for their contributions and welcome any donations towards our fund for helping educate kids in India.
