Happy August vibes, from everyone at Cancer Care Together!
Even in our beautiful corner of the world, cancer doesn’t discriminate between seasonal weather, a person’s age or their gender. Today our dedicated Nurses are needed more than ever before, helping cancer patients at home or supporting them while in hospital.
Cancer Care Together needs to raise €120,000 every year and is funded entirely by your generous donations, by buying or donating goods in our three shops or through fundraising or sponsored events.
Every céntimo counts! Recent donations include Suzanne’s Take 5 Activity Club, whose coffee morning raised a whopping €920, Benitachell Football Club scored with a superb €540 donation, our fun Quiz Nights raised €1000 and Marilyn, a patient wanted to give something back, held a garden party which so far has raised €1477.
Grace walked in memory of her mum and raised an astonishing €2050, while patients who wanted to say ‘Thank You’ kindly donated €2500. Thanks go also to Laura Gregory who sold Bags for Life in our boutique and raised €235.
On behalf of our 60+ volunteers, everyone behind the scenes and our team of nurses, we thank all our supporters who help ensure our valuable and worthwhile work continues.
